Zig-Zag Invites You to Burn Slow This 4/20

4/20 marks the unofficial start of festival season—and this year, Zig-Zag is everywhere.

From Denver to Atlanta, Austin to Las Vegas, the heritage rolling paper brand is showing up across the country in a way that reflects the evolution of cannabis culture. Instead of adding to the usual chaos—packed stages, tight schedules, nonstop motion—Zig-Zag is creating space to slow it all down. It’s less about rushing from set to set, and more about being present, living the “Life’s Fast. Burn Slow” mindset in real time.

“The cannabis category is maturing, and the opportunity isn’t in driving more consumption, it’s in shaping the experience around it,” says Zig Zag Brand Director Maggie Streng. “What was once underground is now out in the open, centered on connection and shared moments rather than excess.”

At a moment when cannabis culture is more visible—and more crowded—than ever, that shift feels intentional. Across major 4/20 festivals, Zig-Zag is building out lounges, rolling stations, and shaded hang spaces designed less for spectacle and more for presence. Places to sit, roll, reset—and actually take in the moment instead of rushing past it.

“In a world that’s constantly speeding up, ‘Life’s Fast Burn Slow’ is about creating space for something that’s real,” Streng says. “It’s a reflection of both where the culture is going and what Zig-Zag has always stood for. Rolling is inherently intentional—it slows you down and makes the experience more present.”

That mindset is showing up on the ground in different ways depending on the city—but the theme remains the same: Carve out a pause inside the noise.

“4/20 has always had energy, but it hasn’t always had intention,” Streng adds. “We’re trying to bring a clearer point of view to the moment—something that actually reflects where culture is going.”

Plus, there will be opportunities to sample Zig Zag’s just released Natural Leaf Wraps.

Zig-Zag’s 4/20 Festival Stops

With festivals, retail takeovers, pop-ups, and dispensary moments all happening at once, it’s shaping up to be one of Zig-Zag’s biggest 4/20s yet—positioning the brand not just as a staple of the culture, but as a signal of where it’s headed next. “We’re not treating 4/20 as a one-day spike,” Streng says. “Instead, we’re building it as a national cultural moment across culture, retail and in-market execution.”
